NEW FOR 2008 - Weekend Guitar Courses

40 years a guitarist, 25 years a teacher, 12 years a luthier and guitar technician, and still passionate about guitar!

Pierre Isai has been playing since the mid-sixties and teaching since the eighties in schools in the UK, via L.C.M and RCT and as an independent peripatetic guitar teacher in England and France and via webcam on the internet.

His experiences ranging from Weekend Rock School clinics, through gospel gigging to café cabaret have provided the backdrop for this year’s series of Guitar Weekends in September. Each weekend is based on the following themes:

Course 1: Friday 5 – Sunday 7 September 2008 – Celtic Acoustic;
Course 2: Friday 12 – Sunday 14 September 2008 – Composition for Guitar;
Course 3: Friday 19 – Sunday 21 September 2008 – Pitch Axis Shredding;
Course 4: Friday 26– Sunday 28 September 2008 – Blues Improvisation,
…. plus space for up to six improver-level guitarists each weekend.

Tariff - The weekend rate of £85 for tuition with daily refreshments and buffet lunch on Saturdays and Sundays included.

Self-catering cottages or Bed & Breakfast are offered on site at La Maison de St George (subject to availability) or alternatively a list of local accommodation providers is available on request.

“The approach is very much student-centred, with a flexible programme to meet the needs of each group, and a mind/body/spirit philosophy will, I hope, allow us to explore the music within, as well as, following a defined content syllabus. CD backing and hard copy worksheets provided, but you will need your own guitar! Looking forward to meeting you and making music with you in September.” Pierre Isai
