“The region around the La Maison de St George cottages is perfect for cycling for all abilities whether you enjoy a leisurely ride or a race - this area is ideal!” Andy North, Cornwall.
“Cycling at La Maison de St George – La Maison de St George is ideally placed to take advantage of the rolling Poitou-Charentes countryside using quiet roads and enjoying a superb environment. There is something for everyone from short trips for the part time leisure rider to full scale epics for the more serious cyclist looking to build up their base mileage during the Spring or Autumn. I personally really enjoyed the surrounding countryside which provided great riding conditions with an opportunity for flat or more hilly days. The weather, quiet roads and the cyclist-friendly hosts make La Maison de St George a great venue for a cycling holiday or training camp.” Ian North, St Austell Wheelers C.C., Cornwall. For more information and rates for the various guided and discovery rides please complete the Enquiry Form. The 95th Tour de France starts on Saturday 5th until Sunday 27th July 2008. Why not catch the action as it visits the town of Cholet, only 2 hours away, for the time trial on Tuesday 8th July. This is followed on Wednesday 9th with the start of the 230 km stage, departing from Cholet to Châteauroux. For more information log onto: www.letour.fr
